Last night at an awards gala, Modern Healthcare published the ranked list for its 2026 Best Places to Work, and Plenful landed at #23!

Patients are waiting for life-changing therapies while the systems behind their care struggle to keep up. The Plenful team is made up of former pharmacy operators and a team of world-class AI and platform engineers, and we chose this problem on purpose.
AI isn't just what we build, it's how we work
We put a wide range of AI tools in people's hands and give them the room to move fast. Our Business Operations team built an AI agent that turns scattered customer updates into a shared briefing, helping teammates stay informed without piecing together conversations themselves. Our Finance lead vibe-coded an in-house sales proposal and contracting tool. Just a few examples of the team living our company value of Speed, and AI adoption regardless of function.
Our R&D team works a level deeper. Their experience spans ML chips, Amazon's AutoCheckout, and reinforcement learning agents for government data centers and health insurance approvals, with multiple patents and papers between them.
They're building a pharmacy-native AI stack: vision models trained on pharmacy documents, clinical reasoning models, and agents that take on prior authorization, 340B optimization, and completly new approach to benefit verification. The ambition is institutional memory for the pharmacy ecosystem – intelligence that compounds because it learns from every decision.
The result? More patients on life-changing therapy, faster. Pharmacy teams who aren't burnt out. And health systems that regain confidence in their program operations and output.
