Plenful Named to TechCrunch's AI Disruptors 60 List

This week, TechCrunch named Plenful to its 2025 AI Disruptors 60 list, recognizing the 60 most promising private companies shaping the future of artificial intelligence.

It’s an incredible honor to be featured among some of the world’s most innovative teams, and for us, it marks another milestone in our mission to transform pharmacy from the inside out.

Why this recognition matters

When people think about innovation in healthcare, they often picture breakthroughs in medicine or patient care. But what’s often overlooked is the operational backbone that keeps the system moving — the intake coordinators, pharmacy technicians, and operational leaders working tirelessly to get patients the care they need.

This is where Plenful is focused. We’re redefining how pharmacy and infusion teams work by eliminating the administrative bottlenecks that slow teams down and delay patient care.

Administrative work makes up nearly 25% of total healthcare spending. While modern medicine marches forward, the workflows behind it are still trapped in the 1990s — buried under faxes, PDFs, spreadsheets, and endless rekeying.

Our mission is to change that. Our team is working hard to bring healthcare’s back office into the modern era of AI-powered speed, accuracy, and intelligence.

The infrastructure layer for pharmacy operations

At Plenful, we believe the back office is healthcare infrastructure. It’s where care gets authorized, reimbursed, and coordinated.

If we want a faster, fairer, and more sustainable system, we have to start by fixing the operational machinery that holds it together.

That’s what we’re building: an agentic operating platform for pharmacy teams, powered by pharmacy-specialized large language models (LLMs) and highly configurable, rules-based workflows.

Our system automates up to 95% of the manual work that burdens pharmacy and infusion teams today — from data extraction and prior authorization submission, to compliance auditing and manufacturer reporting.

Our agentic operating platform is powered by pharmacy-specialized LLMs and deeply configurable workflows. Unlike other players, our team includes veterans from Epic, specialty pharmacy, and enterprise health systems. That expertise is baked into our product and shines through our customer relationships.

Solving the problems that burn out teams and delay patient care

Here’s what a few of our AI applications look like in practice:

  • AI automates patient intake across therapies billed under both the pharmacy and medical benefit, pulling data from messy file formats like faxes and PDFs.
  • Prior authorizations are completed in minutes, not hours, with LLMs confidently filling out complex forms and surfacing missing data.
  • Agents provide real-time alerts and transparency, analyzing trends and mapping progress for approvals, turnaround times, and team capacity metrics.

These innovations are already delivering measurable value for our nearly 100 customers. 4x capacity increases. 75% time savings. Every minute is precious when it comes to accelerating patient care, and pharmacy and infusion teams have never been more resource-strapped.

As one of our customers at a leading national infusion practice shared:

“Since partnering with Plenful, our team's capacity has grown 4x, allowing us to focus on patient care instead of drowning in paperwork. We've continued to expand our use of the platform this year and look forward to realizing even more operational efficiencies, which will directly translate to improved margins and our ability to serve more patients effectively. Plenful isn’t just another tech vendor trying to 'disrupt' with shiny AI tech; they understand what we deal with every day and have built something that actually uplevels our operations.”

Why this moment excites me

No system is more vital than healthcare, or more plagued by broken data. The world of pharmacy is no exception. Every patient interaction, every claim, every medication order serves as a valuable asset, but the data is scattered across disconnected, unstructured systems that no one can fully use.

At Plenful, we’re building AI that learns from the way care teams actually work. Our systems adapt to each organization’s rhythm and logic, automating the repetitive and reasoning-heavy tasks that slow teams down. We’re building technology that learns from your team’s deep expertise, fine-tuning and improving over time, amplifying top-of-license work.

This isn’t just another AI problem. It’s one of the hardest engineering challenges out there, combining deep domain knowledge with cutting-edge model design, safety, and real-world deployment. It’s exciting, often humbling, and incredibly rewarding.

We’ve built a team where technologists don’t just ship code; they’re rebuilding how pharmacy operates. At Plenful, you get to see your work running in production, trusted by enterprise health systems, impacting patients in real-time.

Being named to TechCrunch’s AI Disruptors 60 is an honor, but the real disruption is ahead. We’re still at the beginning of what’s possible.

Want to come build with us?

We’re expanding our technology team to tackle the next frontier: scaling Plenful’s platform, advancing pharmacy-tuned reasoning models, and connecting the data that powers care.

If you want to build AI that learns from real workflows, amplifies human expertise, and makes pharmacy operations more intelligent and more human at once, we’d love to meet you.
